Not sure how to check in when travelling with Austrian Airlines? No worries, we are here to help. Read on and find it out.

Austrian Airlines web check-in

Online check-in saves you the trouble of lining up at the airport. First of all, you have to find our whether or not this option is available where you depart. Travelling from Stockholm or Oslo? There's a special service on the website of Austrian Airline for you.

Then, click on the check-in tab at the homepage and enter your booking code or e-ticket number. Next, you can select your seat and print your boarding card. Online check-in is available from 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure.

Alternatively you can use your mobile phone and receive your boarding pass on the mobile phone – Wait until you get an SMS with a link and then open it and get your mobile boarding card with flight number, your name and a 2D bar-code.

Austrian Airlines  – check in at the airport

You can leave the whole thing to the dedicated staff at Vienna Airport or use check-in kiosks. Go straight to the counter and check in whether you're travelling with or without luggage. You can also choose your seat.

If you checked in via internet or used one of the check-in kiosks and travel with checked luggage, leave it at the drop-off point at Vienna Aiport. If you depart from a different airport, go to the check-in counter.

As far as the check-in deadline is concerned, it varies depending on the airport of departure: from 60 minutes (e.g. Delhi Airport) to 45 minutes (e.g. Amsterdam Airport)
