The UK-based fans of cheap flights from Ryanair will be happy to learn about the carrier's plans to set up as many as 9 new routes in 2013. It is Manchester Airport, Liverpool Airport and East Midlands Airport that will benefit from Ryanair's strengthened presence. Among the routes are: Manchester – Krakow, East Midlands – Menorca or Liverpool – Zadar.
Some more piece of news for those of UK travellers who fancy holidays in Egypt. They can now enjoy affordable fares to this popular destination with Monarch as the carrier launched Birmingham – Sharm el Sheikh flights.
The Italian-based low-budget carrier Volotea announced quite a number of new routes in its 2013 programme such as Nantes – Florence or Naples – Mykonos.
And last but not least, a little update from the hurricane-hit New York airports. Both New York Airport (Kennedy) and Newark Airport reopen today after the disruptions caused by the hurricane Sandy eased.
